Truly, there is no greater way to spend an evening than huddling over your keyboard, keeping touch with people who are only perhaps more angsty than you.
Or maybe you logged on because you want to tell everyone about how you invited a few friends over to your house and one of them set fire to the kitchen, but not before the neighbors called the police because of the noise, and your wife called her lawyer because you never take her anywhere, and her mother always said she knew you'd never amount to anything, and your oldest boy ran off to be a hairdresser, while your daughter ran off with one of the Back Street Boys, and the mortgage came due, and for the past three years the dog has been possessed by Satan, and there are noises coming from the basement, and the growth under your arm has turned out to be another one of those goddamned tentacles, and your uncle returned from the grave and is hanging around the garage, and you think maybe the people next door have killed and eaten the mailman, and another volcano has sprouted in your front lawn.
